I made a batch of Cherry Brandy and Brandy Peaches in July 2012 (which I chronicled on my blog: http://dressingthe1840s.blogspot.com/2012/07/libations-of-1840s.html
). I am happy to report that after straining each and bottling after a month or two and then sitting on my counter for a year they taste delicious. I had some of the Cherry Brandy last night and it goes down smooth, you can taste the spices I added and then BAM-BRANDY! Those 19th century people really knew what was what back then!
