On the Homefront

There is a wonderful exhibit at Kent State University - On the Home Front: Civil War Fashions and Domestic Life, http://www.kent.edu/museum/exhibits/exhibitdetail.cfm?customel_datapageid_2203427=2514745

We stopped on our way out to conference, it's just a short way off the turnpike and well worth a visit. They do not allow photography, but do have a very nice catalogue available for $7.95.

They have several other interesting exhibits also.

Thanks for this post. I would not have known about it otherwise. There was an event in Burton OH this past weekend and took time to see the display as it was only 1/2 hr away.
