I am getting ready to outfit my husband and could not find the info I need in a search. I am sorry if this has been addressed before, but here goes.  Should a white shirt have white buttons? Two holed or four holed? I assume that white china or MOP buttons would be appropriate, but what about silver metal or someting else?  Thanks in advance!  trish B.

A white shirt should have white buttons. China or MOP preferred.  I would use 4 hole; they seem the most used.

There's also the option of shirt studs, which could be fancy, since they could be taken off and didn't need to be boiled. I hate the things myself, but they were for the convenience of the laundress, not the wearer.
