Not sure if this request should go here:

I have an opportunity, in the next couple of years, to take a trip. I would like to center it around costume collections and/or living history sites. Anyone know of a good comprehensive listing of costume museums that include international sites? I knew about Sally McQueen's but I don't think it includes international.

thanks.

You might want to start with this list. I think it just covers those sites with digital collections online. In that case, there will be lots of gaps.

If you plan to go to the Western NY area, I can give you a list of some collections. People usually wouldn't think to check the Jello Musuem for a collection of 19th century underpinnings. Go figure.

Jessamyn is an excellent guide for a tour & collection exam at the Smith-McDowell House in Asheville, North Carolina.

Don't know if you can see any stored collections at The Biltmore, but if someone is willing to buy a ticket it's worth the time.

Magic Mushroom has great pizza and I highly recommend the bakery in West Asheville.....
