I was looking up some information on the Colonial Williamsburg site for my other life as a museum interpreter for early Maryland history when I was pleasantly surprised.

It seems our very own Carolann Schmitt will be presenting a paper at "A Reconstructed Past:  Recreated Period Attire at Historic Sites" to be held at the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum March 17-18th.

Information can be found at http://www.history.org/history/institute/institute_about.cfm.

The lineup looks amazing and some of the names on there make my theater costume major self want to bow down and grovel for awhile.   Grin

Well, I couldn't get the Adobe to download, could you post more details please. Smiley

This is a problem when you have an older computer, some just cannot take those newer versions of programs, mine suffers with Adobe 8, it never got past #5, so I miss the good bits that explain what goes on at these conferences. Sad

Stomping my feet...tossing things around the room...and pouting wildly...

I decided not to go to this because all of the workshops in conference #1 filled up in a heartbeat and there was no list of speakers/topics for conference #2. Now, I wish I hadn't read the list.
