I love the fabric you chose Mary.  And you even bothered to put tucks in.  I love tucks, I just always forget to put them in.  I put my grow room in the bodice instead of the skirts so I could trim the skirts.

Thanks ladies! I'm pleased with how the dresses turned out, but seeing the boys wear them I am determined that the next outfits will look different from each other, even if it's just a minor detail. I kept having to do a double take to figure out who I was looking at.  Wink

I did 5 1" tucks...all by machine. Time consuming, but worth it. I am hoping that between the tucks and all the extra room in the waist and neck that the boys will still fit these through the end of next year. The fabric was a repro cotton that I snagged on clearance; I SO wish I had bought enough for a dress length. Oh well.

SOOO CUTE, Mrs. Gutzke!!

Their tunics are adorable! I love little kids' clothes! (Pardon all the exclamation marks  Cheesy but they are just adorable!) Same thing to you, Mrs. Rachel! Everyone looks splendid! Wish I had little kids to dress up and post!

Thought I'd post my version of our own dear Sarah Meister's sack coat pattern (that she was wonderful enough to share with me).  It's recycled from an old modern wool coat.  The buttons are self-fabric covered brass buttons.  It's lined with fabric from the skirt of my very first (purchased) reenacting dress.  He LOVES reenacting and is a lot of fun to sew for because he just LOVES new reenacting clothes--as is evident from the pictures! Wink

So cute!
My boys are always happy to get new clothes as well. Sometimes I think they are happier than the girls.  Wink

Thank you, Ladies!

And yes, Heidi, Sarah is a dear to share her pattern with me! It whipped up extremely quickly! As in: ONE day (minus button holes and buttons!).  She's one talented lady!

Wow!

That goes for all three of you, and to your ability to chase toddlers and produce clothing simultaneously!

Oh how cute! I love all three of your outfits! They're so wonderfully done. I wish I could sew like that!  Shocked Awesome job. They have such cute little expressions, too! Love it.

Those are nice dresses! Wonderful bright red. All of that looks fabulous to me, inexperienced as I am, of course. It looks *real*.
