I am very pleased to announce that registration for the 2009 Winter Quarters Conference is now open. Dates for the conference are February 28, March 1 and March 2. The conference is being held in Benicia, California, at the Camel Barns (part of the historic Benicia Arsenal) and at Benicia High School.
Returning to speak this year are: author Juanita Liesch, historian Les Jensen, collodion artist Will Dunniway, and pattern maker /designer Nick Sekela. New this year are Elizabeth Pidgeon-Ontis -- award winning costumer and architect, Kevin O'bierne -- Columbia Rifles and tours of the historic, but seldom open Fisher-Hanlon House. The first one hundred registered will be invited to attend a dinner, with a key note speech, Friday evening. The key note speaker will be John Martini, historian and author of
Fortress Alcatraz Guardian of the Golden Gate.
