On the good suggestion of forum members, we're opening a board specifically for discussion of foods and beverages of the pre-1865 era (which should make searching for the topics a little easier.)
Basic Things To Keep In Mind:
1: We're discussing actual original food here... not modern "reenactor" food.

Please share sources for recipes. We're going to go way beyond beef stew in a cast iron kettle.
2: Recognize that not all modern people will be willing and able to eat all historic foods, which is fine--but that research, understanding, and eating are different things.
3: No saying "Eeeeeeewwwwww Grooooossssssss." Or Mom says you have to leave the table.
