We were finally able to get the article on civil war fund-raising dolls on the web site.  It is in the Virginia's Veranda section of www.raggedsoldier.com.   I was able to find quite a bit about the dolls used in Sanitary Fairs and other types of fund raising and benefits.  I hope that you will enjoy reading the article as much as I did researching it.

Doing the research really inspired me to make more clothes and accessories for my doll Emily and try to come up additional items for Civility.  I can hardly wait until she comes our way in Sept. for our Ladies' Fair in Maryland.

And friends, DO go read the article.  It's a wonderful piece of research, and very easy to read!  You'll be inspired!
