I'm making a shirred white bonnet, and had a question about the curtain.  When I started the project, I wanted to base it off this image:

In the image, the curtain does not match the bonnet's base fabric.  I still really like the image, and would like to use some red silk to make the curtain out of, but I cannot remember any original bonnet outside straw bonnets with a contrasting curtain.  So what should I do?  Make the curtain out of the red silk, or out of extra white?

Well, the image does give you some documentation for the concept, so I'd say go for it.  However, I'd tie the color in with the trim.

Thanks, K.  I made the ties red and some of the flowers are strawberries and cherries, so I tied a good bit of red in trim, too.
