I'm planning on making a wool mantle for fall/winter events. I've got some medium-weight wool on the way. I'm trying to decide what to line it with. I have habotai, silk taffeta, or polished cotton as options. I would think silk, but will that make it too slippery to stay on?

Does anyone have any notes on originals? Another factor is that I may wad/quilt it for extra warmth, but I'm not sure.

I've seen both silk and polished cotton.

Thanks K! I'm probably going to go with polished cotton, as I have more of that on hand.
