Okay all you globe trotters out there, what are "must sees", "don't miss" or "skip this" opportunities in Montreal, Canada?  I will be visiting in late July/early August.  I'm open to museums and galleries (obviously textile or clothing oriented but also aviation or train related), theater, outdoor activities, or anything else fun and interesting. Also open to short day trips but I don't think we will be renting a car so reachable by train or subway preferable.

Thanks bunches for any advice.
