i have some tropical wool suiting, a bit of wool flannel and some wool tricotine.

can i use the tricotine?  it's a bit of a heavier weight than the suiting, i don't want to use the flannel since everything sticks to it lol!

should the vest be of the same fabric as the trousers or can they be different?

does anyone know of a sac coat pattern {or jacket or something} for boys?
similar to any of these {for my 12yo}

 An 8 year old would be to old for a tunic especially here in the United States.

  Period literature points to boys being fully breeched by 6 years old. (wearing clothes like  Dad)
