Title: A General Dictionary of Provincialisms (1840)
Post by: EKorsmo on November 27, 2015, 08:43:13 PM
Just stumbled across this, and thought it might be useful to anyone doing a rural English impression, or portraying a recent immigrant from the same.  The introduction gets into some interesting discussion of regional pronunciations, as well as the local patois.
